Gun violence is a terrible thing in any part of the world. Especially if it often happens in a first world country like the United States, the damage and repercussions are unimaginable. Gun violence is resulting in tens of thousands of injuries and deaths every year in America. Alarmingly, there is a sudden rise in the mass shootings from the past couple of years since Donald Trump took over as the President of the United States. Comparing the statistics of the last two decades gun-related assaults and suicides have been on par in America. The main reason for gun violence is the NRA, National Rifle Association of America. It is the gun rights advocacy group. Approximately over 5 million are a part of the National Rifle Association group. Lawmakers see the NRA as of the most influential lobbying groups in Washington. NRA has always been vocal about the ownerships of rifles. The organization has consistently refused to any new restrictions on assault-style gun ownership or to endorse any new type of controls on gun ownership. Due to this particular reason the gun ownership has risen in the United States, which is eventually leading to mass shootings and gun violence very often.
Joe Biden was always against the NRA in the senate. He took on the NRA to ban weapons and high-capacity magazines and to support stronger background checks. As the President of the United States, Joe Biden will continue to take strong measures on NRA to combat gun violence. He needs our support in this journey to keep the gun violence in check; please go ahead sign your name to support Joe Biden’s stand against NRA.
