The race for the 2020 US Presidential Elections is getting exciting day by day. More than 15 candidates are trying their luck this time from the Democratic Party. Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, and Pete Buttigieg are some of the favored candidates running from the Democratic Party for 2020 Presidential elections. Joe Biden, the 47th Vice President of the United States, has been the front runner from the Democratic Party from the time he announced the candidature in April 2019. Joe Biden comes with over four decades of political experience. He served as the senator of Delaware from 1973 to 2009 defeating the incumbent of Delaware in his first election itself. President Barack Obama on multiple occasions lauded Joe Biden for his enormous contribution for the people of the United States.
In April 2019, Joe Biden has announced that he will be running for the 2020 elections, since then he and his team were traveling across the country for the campaign trails and to raise funds for the Presidential race. Within just 66 days, Joe Biden has raised a whopping amount of $21.5 Million for the second quarter. Interesting to know that, Joe Biden was able to raise the amount in just 66 days compared to other candidates who raised the money for 90 days. Greg Schultz, Biden’s campaign manager, has said: “Within just two months into the race, Americans from every corner of the country chip in to join this battle for the soul of our nation and support Joe Biden.” He also added, “We’re continuing to build a campaign that energizes and expands Team Joe Biden and puts us in a strong position to take on President Donald Trump.” Of the total amount raised, 97% of donations were under $200, and 436K contributions were received from 265k voluntary donors.
