Vermont Senator and former Democratic nominee Bernie Sanders made a special video appearance to announce his endorsement to former Vice President Joe Biden. Bernie, who quit from the presidential race recently, said he needed every American support in the United States including his supporters to back Biden and help to make sure that Donald Trump remains a one-term President. In a tweet, Biden wrote “I’ll have a special guest with me” in his address about our nation’s economic response to COVID, Bernie Sanders joined the video stream as the guest and made his announcement.
While the nation is struggling with the coronavirus pandemic and the inability of President Trump to control the spread, Bernie Sanders said - “We have to make Trump a one-term president and need to elect Joe Biden to the White House,” in the live stream video along with Biden. The US currently has over half a million active cases of coronavirus, with over 23,000 people succumbing to its spread. Sanders further pledged that he would do all that he can to see Biden in the White House. Thanking Bernie for the endorsement, Biden said - “You’ve always been the most powerful voice in American politics. I want to thank you for that. It’s a big deal, and your endorsement means a great deal to me.”
After the video stream is concluded, Joe Biden posted a picture of him and Bernie Sanders with the caption “Unity.” Here’s the tweet:
