While the world is battling the coronavirus pandemic, there’s some good news for the Americans. Former Vice President Joe Biden is leading President Donald Trump, who was unable to control the spread of the virus in the latest Fox News poll. Biden is leading by a massive margin of 25 points in counties that were close in 2016 elections. The survey is divided into several categories, Biden leads 49 - 40 over Trump nationally and has an eight-point advantage in battleground states.
In the category of voters who are incredibly interested in elections, Biden leads by nine points with 52-43. However, Biden’s lead rose by 25 points, 57-32 percent, in close counties. This poll is a booster to Biden’s campaign as the timing of the survey is encouraging. The poll was conducted during the time in which Trump received the highest approval ratings for his presidency, a clear sign that the rallying effect might not translate to direct support for Trump’s reelection in November. Biden’s promise of choosing a woman Vice President is also a reason for the considerable percentage margin. Overall, 63 percent of the people approved his promise to pic a female Vice President while 20 percent disapproved, and rest were unsure. Fox News team did not poll Sanders against Trump, as he is still running a virtual campaign that of any significance.
