Former vice president Joe Biden continues his winning streak in polls as he leads President Donald Trump in two crucial swing states, which were won by Trump in his Electoral College victory in 2016. Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has a lead of 8 percentage points against Donald Trump in Pennsylvania, 52 percent to 44 percent, according to the poll conducted by Quinnipiac University. The same poll indicates that Biden is also ahead of Trump in Florida by three percentage points, 48 percent to 45 percent. Over the last few days, Biden has maintained a healthy lead in all the polls held nationally and in the key swing states after the party’s nomination events.
Voters in both Florida and Pennsylvania confirmed that they had made up their minds on whom they would support on Election Day. In comparison, 93 percent of the registered voters in Florida and 94 percent of them in Pennsylvania said that they are very sure of their choice. With Biden leading the polls, Trump denounced them as fake, ignoring them completely. Poor taste for Trump is one of the key reasons for the voters to support Biden. Sixty-five percent of the respondents in Pennsylvania and 64 percent of them in Florida supported Biden because they didn’t like President Donald Trump. Only about half percent of Trump supporters confirmed that their selection was motivated by their liking for the president.
The poll took place between August 28 and September 1, with a sample size of 1235 voters in Florida and 1107 voters in Pennsylvania. Florida's error margin is approximately plus or minus 3 points, and that of Pennsylvania is plus or minus 2.8 percentage points.Dr. Dhillon Randeep
