After a lot of buzz surrounding the presidential primary race, Bernie Sanders announced his withdrawal on Wednesday, putting an end to all the speculations regarding his campaign. His decision was a surprise as his team hinted that the campaign would go on till the very end. Despite suspending the campaign, Bernie reaffirmed the fight would continue to defeat President Trump by working on progressive issues like climate change, raise in the minimum wage, guaranteed health care, etc.
While former Vice President Joe Biden applauded Bernie for his great campaign, President Donald Trump took shots at him. Trump has always captivated on the possible Democratic division on multiple occasions. He also suggested that the Democratic party mistreated Sanders. Reacting to Bernie’s quitting from the race, Trump wrote - “Bernie Sanders is OUT! Thank you to Elizabeth Warren. If not for her, Bernie would have won almost every state on Super Tuesday! This ended just like the Democrats & the DNC wanted, same as the Crooked Hillary fiasco. The Bernie people should come to the Republican Party, TRADE!” from his official Twitter handle.
