Former Vice President Joe Biden said that he would be more than happy to take Michelle Obama to be the Vice President and his running mate for the 2020 Presidential election. With the virus outbreak and lockdown orders in the country, Biden has canceled all his public appearances and is strictly confined to his newly-built office in his house in Delaware. From the past month, Biden has been taking part in numerous video interaction with supporters and media. Speaking to KDKA’s John Delano, Biden said that the former first lady would be a substantial addition as Vice President and also to my campaign against Donald Trump provided if she accepts the nomination.
“I’d take her in a heartbeat. The Obamas have been great friends of mine, and Michelle is brilliant. She knows the way around and is a wonderful woman,” Biden said in his interview on Monday. He further added - “I don’t think Michelle has any desire to live near the White House again.” Biden also confirmed that he would not commit to a woman of color as his Vice President as it’s still early in the process. “In terms of who to pick, we are just at the start of the process. My team will shortly draft a committee to review and start the background check of the several potential nominees. And that process is just getting underway. I think it’s essential to put the fact once and for all, our great country should have had a woman President by now, in my view Hillary Clinton. There are plenty of qualified women out there who have the potential to lead the nation,” Biden concluded.
