With poll losses and a decrease in the ratings, President Donald Trump is back to his favorite role of dissing his opponents instead of fighting them directly. Quite often, Trump referred his 77-year-old opponent as "Sleepy Joe" in his tweets and public speeches. With his remarks, President Trump tries to project Biden as a mentally unfit person to run for the presidency, as Biden is in his final stretch to win the race. On most occasions, Trump and his campaign team ridiculed Biden's age and his mental competency in their television ads highlighting the clips of him stumbling in his speeches. Even after officially becoming the Democratic Party's presidential nominee, Biden still gets ridiculed for his stuttering problem. However, the former vice president never gave in to the pressure and stood rock solid despite all the criticism.
In response, Biden has two words for President Trump - "Watch me." When asked by ABC's David Muir to respond to Trump's attacks, the Democratic presidential nominee issued a direct call in his first joint meeting with his running mate Kamala Harris. "Watch me, Mr. President. Look at us both; we are coming your way. Look at what we say, what we do, what we control, what we know, and what kind of shape we are in," while gesturing to Kamala Harris. If Biden wins the November election, he would be the oldest person ever to become the president of the United States. Trump holds the record presently, who was 70 when he was elected as the president in 2016. Biden would be 77 years old if elected this November. President Ronald Reagan left the highest office when he was 77 years and 349 days in 1989.
Joe Biden stated that it is fair for all the voters to question any candidate about his or her age. He further confirmed that he could consider serving for more than one term. Biden responded "absolutely" when asked by Muir about serving for eight years as the president. He further added - "So, what I want actually to do is to have a new Senate, we won back statehouses, we're in a position where we transition to a period of bringing people to the level where they can be able to lead nationally."Dr. Dhillon Randeep
