American entrepreneur and political commentator Andrew Yang announced his support for Joe Biden on Tuesday, joining the congregation of opponents backing the nomination of former Vice President in his bid to the White House. Yang made his announcement on CNN live during the media network’s coverage of the Tuesday night primaries. Speaking to CNN, Yang said - “The math says Joe is our prohibitive nominee. We need to bring the party together. We need to start working to defeat Donald Trump.”
In 2016, Andrew Yang backed Bernie Sanders and spoke richly about the Vermont senator terming him as an inspiration for his campaign. Before he endorsed Biden, Yang made some interesting comments on MSNBC - “If someone wants my endorsement, all you have to do is come out for universal basic income. Declare every American would get $1000 per month, and then I will be there with you on the trail the next day.”
